THE PRODUCT PAGE CLASSIFIES NO ACTION AXIS AND THE LAUNCH RELEASE CLASSIFIES TWO. The CC9 page contains no occurrence of "striker", "single action", "recoil" as a mechanism or "Browning"; its only "hammer" is in "German cold-hammer-forged barrel", which is a manufacturing process and the second appearance of that particular trap after the Ruger Mark IV. Note also that the VP9 page's sentence — "VP Series pistols use a striker fired ignition" — cannot be borrowed, because it is scoped to the VP series and the CC9 is not in it. What settles the axis is HK's own launch release, which introduces "an all-new micro-compact, striker-fired, pistol chambered in 9mm", so `ignition` is recorded with `ignitionSource` pointing at the release rather than the product page. The maker's verbatim wording, "striker-fired", is kept in `system` and footnoted to the release too, via `triggerActionSource` — which is the field that governs that row. Without it the row would have rendered "Not yet verified", announcing as unresearched a classification HK does make, just not on the page the record defaults to. THE SAME SENTENCE SUPPLIES THE FRAME CLASS, and that is worth flagging because it is prose rather than a spec row: HK calls the pistol micro-compact there and again in the next sentence ("in the world of micro-compact pistols"), which is the maker classifying its own model, the CZ P-10 C reading. `manufacturerSizeLabel` stays unset because HK's word is already the directory's. Trigger action and operating system remain unset: nothing states either, and "enhanced recoil management" in the release is a handling claim rather than a cycling class. HEIGHT DEPENDS ON WHICH MAGAZINE IS FITTED AND BOTH FIGURES ARE KEPT. HK publishes "125 mm (12rd) / 117mm (10rd)", so the 12-round figure is recorded and the 10-round one named in the basis — the Springfield Hellcat's flush-versus-extended handling, arriving here from the other direction since the larger magazine is the standard one. CAPACITY IS 12 STANDARD, AND HK SAYS SO RATHER THAN LEAVING IT TO THE SKU. The specification table lists "10 / 12" without designating either, which on the FN 509 forced the choice onto the SKU; here the description settles it directly — the frame "still has room for a 12+1 magazine with pinky extension", while "flush-fitting 10+1 magazines are available for restricted capacity states". The SKU agrees, shipping one of each. The second catalogue number, 81000551, ships two 10-round magazines and is a separate listing under the base-model rule. TRIGGER PULL COMES FROM THE DESCRIPTION, NOT A SPECIFICATION ROW, AND THAT CHANGES HOW MUCH PRECISION TO READ INTO IT. The CC9's spec block has no trigger-pull row at all, unlike the VP9's 24 N / 5.4 lb; the only figure HK publishes is "Its 5lb trigger has a crisp wall and reset" in the prose. There is no competing table entry, so this is not the CZ P-10 C conflict between a features block and a spec table — it is the only statement HK makes, and leaving it out would discard a real one. It is recorded with the basis naming where it came from, and the newton figure is this directory's conversion because HK gives pounds only here. EVERY PUBLISHED UNIT PAIR WAS CHECKED, AFTER THE VP9'S WEIGHT TURNED OUT TO BE AN OUNCE OUT. On this page they reconcile: 153 mm/6.03 in, 125 mm/4.92 in, 117 mm/4.60 in, 25 mm/0.99 in and 522 g/18.4 oz all agree. One row is off in its last digit — 84 mm is 3.307 in and HK prints 3.32 — which is rounding noise rather than the VP9's transcription-sized gap, and both figures stand as published. Nothing except the trigger pull is converted by this directory. Warranty is HK's class-scoped Lifetime Limited Warranty, recorded with its conditions as on the VP9. Year introduced is 2024, from the release datelined October 16, 2024. Also published and unrecorded for want of a schema field: a German cold-hammer-forged +P-rated barrel, an RMSc / 407k optics footprint on every CC9, a factory-included night sight, interchangeable backstraps, mirrored ambidextrous controls, a picatinny-style rail, and the $699 MSRP. HK describes the CC9 as "HK's smallest double-stack handgun", which is a superlative about its own range rather than a size class, and is not recorded as one.
