Springfield Armory Hellcat 3" Micro-Compact

The plain HC9319B is retired, and so is every fiber-optic and OSP SKU; the only current 9 mm listings carry a "GU23" suffix. Worse, five different URL slugs — the plain one plus the fiber-optic, stainless, robins-egg-blue and Desert FDE paths — all serve the SAME retired HC9319B page, so a record built by picking a plausible-looking colour URL would have been sourced from a discontinued SKU without anything looking wrong. Springfield never expands "GU23" on the page, so this record does not expand it either, following the Echelon's "4.5F" rule. The substitution is safe on the numbers and that was checked rather than assumed: the retired HC9319B and the current HC9319BGU23 were compared field by field, 12 fields, and only the SKU differs. Separate listings under the base-model rule: the OSP optics-ready SKUs, the RDP, Pro, Pro Comp, the .380 ACP, the Firstline and low-capacity variants, and the manual-safety configurations. ALL THREE ACTION AXES ARE UNSET, and the evidence that tempts otherwise is worth spelling out because it comes from three directions. The owner's manual names a "Striker Block Safety" and lists a Striker, Striker Guide and Striker Spring in its parts diagram — components and a safety device, which sit on a different axis from ignition, exactly the call made on the TaurusTX 22's striker block. The launch release contains four occurrences of "striker-fired", and every one belongs to the site's navigation describing the Echelon and XD series rather than the Hellcat, which is the Ruger RXM substring trap. And the product page publishes a "Recoil System" of "Dual Captive Recoil Spring w/ Full Length Guide Rod", which is a component rather than an operating-system classification, as the Echelon record already established. The 64-page manual contains no mechanism description at all: no "semi-automatic", no operating principle, no specification table. Springfield simply does not classify this pistol's action anywhere, and three near-misses do not add up to one citation. Overall width is unrecorded: Springfield publishes a Grip Width of 1 in, which is a different measurement and is not filed as an overall width. Springfield qualifies its height and weight by magazine, and both qualifiers are kept: the flush-magazine figures are recorded and the extended-magazine figures named in the basis, so nothing is silently dropped. The weight is filed under weightWithEmptyMagazine, because Springfield's wording says a magazine IS fitted; that it stops short of saying the magazine is empty is recorded in the basis rather than used to move the value elsewhere. This record briefly sat in weightUnloaded to match the Echelon, and the two were normalized together with the SIG P320 on 2026-08-12 — three records had been describing one thing two ways, which the compare table would have shown as two non-adjacent rows. Springfield publishes imperial only, so every metric value here is converted by this directory and flagged. Year introduced comes from Springfield's own dated launch release, GENESEO, ILL. (09/26/19), which also supplies the "micro compact" wording that the product title repeats and the directory normalizes to the micro-compact frame class — the same class the P365, G42, G43 and G43X carry. Warranty is unrecorded: Springfield's warranty and manuals live on a client-rendered Inertia application whose HTML carries only navigation, and the Hellcat manual mentions the warranty only to say reloaded ammunition may void it, which states an exclusion rather than any terms. Capacity is 11+1 with the flush magazine, and Springfield ships one 13-round extended magazine alongside it. Also published and unrecorded for want of a schema field: a 1:10 twist, a hammer-forged Melonite barrel, a billet-machined slide, Adaptive Grip Texture, a nickel boron-coated trigger group, and the textured stand-off device at the muzzle that the launch release describes.
