Springfield's sitemap carries 42 Hellcat Pro URLs. Every one under the descriptive `hellcat-series-handguns/hellcat-pro-handguns/` path that was checked is marked Discontinued — including the white-dot listing that reads like the base model — while the four current SKUs sit at bare root-level slugs with meaningless numeric suffixes: `hellcat-pro-osp-9mm-handgun-10`, `-5-3`, `-6-6` and `-4-5`. The tidy, descriptive URL serves the retired page and the ugly one serves the live product, which is the opposite of what a reader or an editor would guess. As on the Hellcat 3", the current SKUs carry a "GU23" suffix that Springfield never expands, so this record does not expand it either. The substitution was checked rather than assumed: the retired HCP9379BOSP-UWD and this HCP9379BOSPGU23 were compared field by field and differ in exactly one row, the sights — the retired SKU has a white-dot front, this one a tritium/luminescent front with a Tactical Rack U-Notch rear. Every dimension, the weight, the barrel, the slide, the frame, the recoil system, the grip width and the magazines are identical, so the sights recorded here are this SKU's own rather than carried across. NO FRAME CLASS IS RECORDED, AND THE ABSENCE IS DELIBERATE. Springfield publishes no size class for the Hellcat Pro anywhere on the product page — the words "compact" and "micro-compact" do not appear on it at all — unlike the Hellcat 3", which carries "Micro-Compact" in its own product name. The only class statement anywhere is the launch release's prose, "the new Hellcat Pro is a compact pistol chambered in 9mm". Recording `compact` from that sentence would take a marketing paragraph over the silence of the specification rows, and it would put this pistol in a different class from the micro-compact line Springfield's own naming places it in — so the field is left unset and both facts are stated here instead. ALL THREE ACTION AXES ARE UNSET, WHICH MAKES THIS THE FIFTH SPRINGFIELD RECORD IN A ROW CLASSIFYING NOTHING, after the Echelon, Hellcat, Kuna and Prodigy. The launch release contains "striker-fired" once and it belongs to the site navigation describing the Echelon series, exactly as on the Hellcat 3"; the product page's "Recoil System" row names a dual captive recoil spring, which is a component rather than an operating-system class. Overall width is unrecorded: Springfield publishes a Grip Width of 1 in, a different measurement, and it is not filed as an overall width. Height and weight are qualified by magazine and both qualifiers are kept, with the flush-magazine figures recorded and the extended-magazine figures named in the basis. The weight sits in weightWithEmptyMagazine because Springfield's "w/ Flush Mag" says a magazine IS fitted; that it stops short of saying the magazine is empty is recorded in the basis rather than used to move the value, the rule settled across the Echelon, Hellcat and SIG P320 on 2026-08-12. Capacity is 15 with the flush magazine and Springfield ships a 17-round extended magazine alongside it.
